Hope Behavior Services, LLC was established in 2019 by CEO and founder, Rashidah Cartwright Ed.M, LCADC. Our board certified in-home behavioral therapists provide ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults residing in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. We currently serve children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as a number of neurodevelopmental disorders proven to benefit from behavioral therapy interventions.
Our goals are to expand services to reach every county in New Jersey and reduce barriers to accessing behavior services and supports. We are built on the foundation of the importance of recognizing an individual's strengths, as opposed to deficiencies, and assisting every individual in living their best possible lives.
At Hope Behavior Services, our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, and behavioral disorders. We strive to create and implement programs that serve the child, as well as their family, and to provide highly individualized services in the home. We believe in our ability to make a positive difference in an individual's development and in their ability to communicate with others to help every individual reach their full potential.
We believe in aligning with the individual to help them to achieve their goals through patience, hard work, and the right individualized approach. We are driven by our team of compassionate staff who are dedicated to empower parents and provide ongoing supports and resources, both in-home and in the community. In each interaction with a parent or child, we aspire to encourage a positive learning environment that instills a lasting experience of hope.
We understand the importance of parents and family members having access to a support network that understands the challenges and rewards of parenting a child with special needs. This is why we offer monthly support groups in the community at no cost to you. Held within the Monmouth County Library System, our support groups are joined by a licensed social worker teaching skills to support you in practicing self-care and managing stress. Refreshments are served, and we are always open to your suggestions and feedback for topics you would like to discuss.
If you are interested in attending one of our support groups, please visit our Calendar of Events for more information and RSVP to to secure your spot.
In between our in-person meetings, we also facilitate parent-to-parent support on our facebook support group.
Wellness has many dimensions, and we have found many families of special needs children highly value spirituality. Through discussions with community members, we have learned that many families are unable to attend religious services due to lack of childcare or concern about how their children will behave in a structured environment. As a result, we have been working to partner with churches in local communities to address these needs and provide solutions.
Hope Behavior Services has partnered with Bayshore Christian Fellowship in Keyport, NJ. On December 8, 2019, we launched a sensory room that is available to children during the time of church services. While parents are participating in services, we will provide your children with a safe, stimulating environment designed to develop and enrich sensory processing.
